• With few specifications, you get best solutions sooner. The question then poses itself whether the gotten material corresponds to your ideas.
• If the melody-line is less important, like for example with accompaniment-compositions, can be abstained on the specification of a melody.
• The demands of the composing-automation come again after the general principle of "Mark and edit ." But, statements about the chord progression entered with the Chord- palette should become before. It is to enter the statement of a one scale at least.
• If an area is marked, so a composition rule can be clicked on (tool bar "Compose") and Octava will supplement the desired filling voices.
• With the block-selection, it is to be heeded that just as many voices are marked, as is declared in the chosen composition rule.
• And, already pre-determined melodies also notes or rests in the block must be in block selection , if they should be taken into account from the composition - rules.
• Example: prohibition of parallel fifths pretended in the composition rule can be taken into account only on to one bass stave if this is included in the block as well.
• On the other hand it is valid in principle that already pre-determined notes and rests are not changed even if they contravene against the chosen composition rule.
• Notes and rests must be deleted before a composition rule is placed again!
• Before you apply a composition rule, you can drive rhythmic, pitch position and some composition rules like dissonance-planning.
