With Windows, if you search if a string is present inside files, you may use the search utility provided with Windows.

This utility gives the list of the files containing the searched string. It is your job to edit each file to find the string in it.

With Unix, the grep utility is used to see, in the local directory, the lines of the files containing the searched string.

I combine these two utilities in a unique one : PRGrep for Windows.
